How does it work?

We send the recipient our beautifully-designed welcome pack. This includes an elegant gift card and a letter explaining the service and the next steps including an invitation to book their custom reading consultation. In this welcome pack we can also include a hand-written personal message on one of our Heywood Hill postcards. Do pop a message for your recipient in the notes at checkout to include this in the welcome pack.

Subscribers can have their consultation at our Mayfair shop with a member of our expert team. They can also choose to have their consultation over the phone, or fill in our online consultation. This enables us to truly tailor every single selection to their specific taste. We endeavour to make the reading consultation a bookish experience which is fun, rewarding, stimulating and informative. Using all that we learn about their interests, our booksellers then hand-pick forty books over the year tailored just to their reading tastes. Ten books are gift-wrapped every quarter in our famous livery of brown paper and blue ribbon and sent in our Heywood Hill boxes with different illustrated monthly bookmarks designed by the wonderful Cressida Bell.
