Chosen just for the recipient by our wonderful booksellers, they will receive a box of ten books every quarter, all gift wrapped in our signature brown paper and blue ribbon, ready to sweep them away on their next adventure.

To ensure that we can offer the best possible service on this entirely bespoke subscription, our Quarterly Selection for Children is limited to 500 pre-Christmas subscribers for 2025. If this is live on our website there is still space to gift this subscription to someone special, the perfect foundation for their very own library.

How does it work?

Subscribers are invited to have a chat about their interests and what they like to read with a member of our bookselling team. This can happen in person at our Mayfair shop or over the phone, we also have an online consultation that they are very welcome to fill out instead. The consultation should be an experience which is fun, rewarding, stimulating and informative! Using this information, we will then choose ten hardback books just for your recipient every quarter, totalling forty books over the year and hand-picked by our booksellers. They will also receive special monthly bookmarks with each book, designed by Cressida Bell.

The recipient will receive a welcome pack from us to introduce them to their subscription. Including an elegant gift card, an illustrated reading tree to document their new books, and letter with next steps, we can also include a hand-written personal message on one of our Heywood Hill postcards. Do pop a message for your recipient in the notes at checkout to include this in the welcome pack.
