Sir Tom Stoppard drew the winning ticket in the inaugural Heywood Hill Prize Draw at the London Library Heywood Hill Christmas Party at the London Library last night. We had almost 900 entries to the draw, all of whom had bought a copy from us of Artemis Cooper’s wonderfully rich biography Patrick Leigh Fermor: An Adventure.
Congratulations to Dr George Harwood who wins our Grand Prize: a signed First Edition of PLF’s A Time of Gifts; an original John Craxton lithograph from A Poet’s Eye; a watercolour of a View From The Library at Kardamyli by Isobel Brigham; a magnum of Laurent-Perrier Brut NV, and; a £100 Heywood Hill voucher.
Thank you to all those who took part and to those who donated prizes.
